This article has some great tips for teaching your child to self-feed. One of the things I really like about this article is that it approaches this from an occupational therapy stand point. Even though your child is ready to start self-feeding they may not have the fine motor skills to start off with little puffs like some kids do. There are definitely some great tips here on how to handle that.
